This classic Northeast Portland home called for a landscape that was every bit as beautiful as its vintage architecture. Prominently featured natural stone retaining walls elevate and ground the front yard landscape on this busy thoroughfare in the Beaumont Neighborhood, while the bluestone paths and stairs offer a welcoming entryway to the home.

The once-flat, unremarkable front yard was completely transformed by creating a an upper landscape terrace via expertly crafted basalt retaining walls and rustic bluestone stairs.

The backyard of this Beaumont garden was reimagined to create an intimate outdoor dining room courtyard area, with an ample lawn extending from a new timber deck. A stepping stone path leads into the yard to a bluestone patio, surrounded on all sides by lush planting including Lavender, variegated Azara microphylla, Hostas and Star Jasmine vines.
